2 Timothy 2:2 “…the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” is one of the foundational verses for The Ezekiel Project School of Evangelism (TEPSE). Passing along passion, techniques, and knowledge is our calling. Our staff has been endeavoring to work as a team at teaching in the classroom, preaching in the open air, and at the other tasks that are demanded of this missionary life.
Our current student, Jon Foster, has also been working hard at these things as well.
The old adage, “The more I know him, the better I like him.” applies to Jon. Truly, the better I know Jon, the better I like him. He is a quality young man. It seems that Jon is always happy and definitely exhibits the quality of faithfulness. Watching him soak up the information in class and then taking it out to people at our open air meetings on the streets, . . . well, it delights our hearts. Jon is being stretched. We ask of him to accomplish things that take him right out of his comfort zone. But isn’t that what we are supposed to do for a student who desires to be a missionary? Isn’t that the life of faith in Christ? Often we, as Jon’s instructors, are surprised to hear Jon preaching in the open air. His refreshing perspective often instructs us. He is growing in his knowledge of the Word and his technique in reaching the lost. What a delight to have Jon Foster as a student at TEPSE. We could not get any better!
Please continue to pray that God would use us for His glory in teaching, training and mentoring this young man. Pray that Jon will be blessed in his studies and ministry for the Lord. And please pray that the Lord will begin to lead other men and women to attend our school next year. Perhaps the Lord would lay it on your heart to attend or perhaps you know someone that you could encourage to pray about this opportunity. Join with us in seeking men and women who will put the Word of God in their heart and transfer it to the street where their knowledge and experience will meet! It is a small investment of time - “ONE YEAR”, but one that can reap great fruit “FOR LIFE.”
