Basic Training Seminars Information
New York, NY - July 20-24, 2009
Times and Dates:
The Basic Training Seminar begins early Monday morning, July 20th in Tenafly, New Jersey. Therefore, we would like all participants to arrive in the area on Sunday, July 21st. This will give you time to get settled in your room and prepare for the week. The seminar schedule includes three full days (8am-5pm) of classroom instruction and workshops, plus two full days of actually doing open-air evangelism in New York City. The seminar will conclude late Friday evening, so plan to depart on Saturday, July 25th, before noon.
Cost:
- SEMINAR FEE - $250 (required): The seminar instruction is free of charge, however the materials required are not without cost. The required specialized equipment consists of a paintboard, a paint kit with brushes, a magic trick, and a training manual.
- ROOM and Board - Dormitory rooms are available at a nearby Christian college at a cost of $150 per person/per week based on double occupancy. These accommodations will be granted on a first-come first-serve basis. If you are able to find housing locally on your own however, you may choose to stay off campus. If you will need a dormitory room for the seminar please indicate so on the seminar application.
- MEALS - $50 (required): Two meals per day will be provided at a cost of $50 per person/per week.
- Please Note: The room and board fee is in addition to the seminar fee. You will also need to bring extra money for other personal and miscellaneous expenses.
Registration:
To register for this seminar, please complete the seminar application and return it to our office along with the $50 registration fee no later than July 1st. The registration fee will be applied to the total cost of the seminar. The remaining balance will be due no later than Monday, July 20th, the first day of the seminar.
Scholoarships:
There are a limited number of scholarships available for those who find it difficult to meet the costs of the seminar fee. Scholarships will be granted, at the discretion of The Ezekiel Project, Inc., to those who have applied for them and according to the need. If you would like more information regarding a scholarship, please indicate so in the space provided on the seminar application.
CEU Credit:
The CEU (Continuing Education Units) is a nationally recognized standard unit of measure for substantive non-degree credit learning experiences. Under the criteria and guidelines established by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, The Ezekiel Project, Inc. is authorized to award 4.0 CEUs to all participants who successfully complete this training seminar. A certificate of achievement will be issued to each participant upon the successful completion of this seminar and a permanent record of each individual's completion will remain on file with copies issued to each participant upon request.
Age Requirement:
Individuals under 18 years of age must have the signed permission of a parent or guardian in order to participate in this seminar.
