BASIC TRAINING SEMINAR INFORMATION
CHICAGO, IL - MAY 25-29, 2009
TIMES AND DATES: The Basic Training Seminar begins early Tuesday morning, May 26th at the Moody Bible Institute. Therefore, we would like all participants to arrive in Chicago on Monday, May 25th. This will give you time to get settled in your room and prepare for the week. The seminar schedule includes 3 full days (8 am-5 pm) of classroom instruction and workshops, plus 2 full days of actually doing open-air evangelism in Chicago. The seminar will conclude Friday evening, so plan to depart on Saturday, May 30th.
COST
- SEMINAR FEE - $250 (required): The seminar instruction is free of charge, however the materials required are not without cost. The required specialized equipment consists of a paintboard, a paint kit with brushes, a magic trick, and a training manual.
- Room - $125 (optional): Dormitory rooms and meals will be provided by the Institute at the cost of $125 per person/per week based on double occupancy. If you are able to find housing locally on your own however, you may stay off campus. If you will need a room for the seminar please indicate so on the seminar application.
- Meals - Food service is available on campus or at surrounding restaurants at student's own expense.
- Please note: The room fee is in addition to the seminar fee. You will also need to bring extra money for your mean and other personal expenses.
REGISTRATION: To register for this seminar, please complete the seminar application and return it to our office along with the $50 registration fee no later than May 1st. The registration fee will be applied to the total cost of the seminar. The remaining balance will be due no later than Tuesday, May 26th, the first day of the seminar.
SCHOLARSHIPS: There are a limited number of scholarships available for those who find it difficult to meet the costs of the seminar fee. Scholarships will be granted, at the discretion of The Ezekiel Project, Inc., to those who have applied for them and according to the need. If you would like more information regarding a scholarship, please indicate so in the space provided on the seminar application.
COLLEGE CREDIT (optional): The Moody Bible Institute will grant college credit for those who successfully complete this training seminar. In order to receive this college credit an application from the Institute must be completed and submitted along with the tuition fee charged by the Institute. If you are interested in applying for college credit, please indicate so on the seminar application, and we will send you the needed form.
CEU CREDIT: The CEU (Continuing Education Units) is a nationally recognized standard unit of measure for substantive non-degree credit learning experiences. Under the criteria and guidelines established by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, The Ezekiel Project, Inc. is authorized to award 4.0 CEUs to all participants who successfully complete this training seminar. A certificate of achievement will be issued to each participant upon the successful completion of this seminar and a permanent record of each individual's completion will remain on file with copies issued to each participant upon request.
AGE REQUIREMENT: Individuals under 18 years of age must have the signed permission of a parent or guardian in order to participate in this seminar.
