A Ready Answer

Today I was talking to a friend of mine who is a graduate of The Ezekiel Project School of Evangelism (TEPSE). He shared with me an experience that he had this past Sunday. He stopped off at a local gas station to fill up, as he went in to pay he left his Bible on the front seat. A man came in and asked whose car it was that was parked in front of the gas station. My friend said it was his and the man replied by asking him if he was a Christian, having seen the Bible. This stranger suddenly opened up to my friend about his problems. This man said that he heard a TV evangelist tell the audience that if they would send just some money to him their problems would go away. This man was frustrated and just wanted peace. My friend, who is a skilled evangelist, used some of his training he received while at TEPSE and asked a very poignant question to this hurting man. He asked him, “If you were to die tonight would you go to Heaven or Hell?” The man answered back that he was not sure. My friend then proceeded to share with this man how he could know for sure he was going to Heaven when he died. By God’s grace this man accepted Christ right there in the gas station. Even though my friend is not in the ministry has taken the things he has learned while here at TEP and applied them to his everyday life. He has fulfilled the commandment that the Apostle Peter lays out for in 1 Peter 3:15, “…always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you…”
